The Cabo Girão Viewpoint is one of the highest points in Europe. With its 580 meters of altitude, it offers an incredible panoramic view of Câmara de Lobos, Funchal, and of course, the ranches below the suspended glass platform, the so-called Skywalk. Unmissable!

There is no doubt that you will find one of the most beautiful scenery in Madeira when you arrive in Porto Moniz. The natural pools in the municipality are a spectacle apart, which deserve your visit.
Pico do Areeiro e Pico Ruivo
To stay above the clouds, Pico do Areeiro and Pico Ruivo are mandatory destinations on the itinerary. At 1,818 and 1,862 meters respectively, they offer an incredible view of the volcanic and wild landscape of the island, quite different from the view of the central region of Funchal. Get your most comfortable clothes and shoes ready to explore both places. Remember to respect the security measures and warnings in force.
Funchal Cable Car
To get the best view of Funchal, be sure to take a cable car ride, which connects the old town of Funchal to Monte. The station is in Jardim do Almirante Reis, and the journey to the destination takes approximately 15 minutes.
Curral das Freiras
Curral das Freiras is a valley very frequented by tourists, considered one of the best scenery in the world. According to legend, the place was used as a hiding place for the nuns of the Convent of Santa Clara, to escape the constant pirate attacks in Funchal. Be dazzled by the landscape from the top of Eira do Serrado, or follow the old zigzag road, which gives access to the valley.
Câmara de Lobos
It was in Câmara de Lobos that João Gonçalves Zarco, the discoverer of Madeira Island, settled for the first time when he landed in this hitherto unknown land.
He himself baptized the place with this name, because several sea lions lived there. Today, the fishing village has come to life with all the color of its bay and the visitor can find several historical references preserved, scattered among the 5 parishes of the municipality.
